What is Siauliai University?
 Šiauliai University – regional and classical type higher education institution located in the Northern region of Lithuania. Founded in 1997 by uniting Šiauliai Pedagogical Institute and Šiauliai Polytechnic Faculty of Kaunas University of Technology.

Studies are organised into 3 cycles: first cycle – Bachelor’s degree, second cycle – Special Professionals studies and Master’s degree studies, third cycle – Doctoral.

Šiauliai University has over 140 agreements with foreign higher education institutions from 40 countries all over the World. University successfully participates in various activities of LLP / ERASMUS programmes: exchange of students and lecturers, ECTS adjustment, intensive programmes and European networks.

About Research Studies

The University operates the following research centres: Gender StudiesBiological Research, Educational Researches, Energy and Environmentally Clean TechnologiesModelling of Physical Processes, Natural Science Education, Public Health, Social Research, Special Education, Technological Experiments,Biomedical Engineering, Art. There is European Studies Institute at the University as well.

The researchers and the staff are running and have participated in such international projects as VI and VII Framework, LLP: LEONARDO DA VINCI, ERASMUS, COMENIUS, GRUNDVIG and others, EUREKA, EQUAL, INTERREG, LAT-LIT EU Structural funds and other EC projects.
