For engineering and other professional course student the scholarship will be Rs.1000 every month till 3rd year and 4th, 5th year the students will be given Rs.2000. The annual income of parents should be less than Rs.4.5 lakh.

Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala has notified the Admission to the Medical, Fisheries, Veterinary, Agriculture, Engineering and Architecture courses for 2012.
According to the Prospectus issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in this regard, the Sale of Security Cards along with the Prospectus through selected Post Offices and submission of Online Application will commence on 19th January, 2012 and will continue till 14th February, 2012. Online submission of application, can be done till 5 pm on that day.
The last date for receipt of Printout of the online application along with supporting documents at the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will be 15th February, 2012.
Facility for downloading of the Admit cards for the Entrance Examination will be activated on 24th March, 2012.
Dates of Examinations: The Engineering Entrance Examination (For admission to engineering courses except Architecture) will be held from 10 am to 12.30 noon (IST) on 23rd and 24th April, 2012. Paper-I (Physics & Chemistry) will be held on 23rd April (Monday) and Paper-II (Mathematics), on 24th April (Tuesday).
Paper-I, Chemistry & Physics of the Medical Entrance Examination will be held from 10 am to 12.30 noon (IST) on 25.04.2012 (Wednesday) and Paper-II: Biology will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm on 26.04.2012 (Thursday).
Examination Centres: The Entrance Examinations will be held at selected venues in all the Districts in Kerala, New Delhi and Dubai (UAE).
Results: The results of the Medical Entrance Examination are expected to be announced on or before 25th May, 2012 and that of Engineering, on or before 25th June, 2012.
Eligibility
Nationality: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) will be treated on par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission. However, PIO/OCI candidates are not eligible for any kind of reservation.
Nativity: Applicant should be a Kerlaite or Non-Kerlaite. Applicants are considered for admission to various types of seats allotted by the CEE, based on their Nativity status.
Kerlaite: Applicants of Kerala origin will be categorized as ‘Keralites’. Others will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralites’. Children of All India Service (AIS) Officers allotted to Kerala cadre will be deemed as ‘Keralites’. However, such candidates will not be eligible for any Communal/Special/Persons with Disability reservation.
An applicant will be considered as a ’Keralite’, for the limited purpose of eligibility for admission, if (a) he/she or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR (b) he/she has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR (c) he/she has undergone his/her school studies from Standards VIII to XII in educational institution(s) in Kerala, subject to the submission of the relevant certificates in the application form as prescribed in Clause 6.1.1 of the Prospectus. Applicants who are children of All India Service (AIS) officers allotted to Kerala cadre, claiming Keralite Status, should produce a certificate from the competent authority showing that the parent of the candidate is an AIS officer allotted to Kerala cadre.
Non-Keralites: Non-Keralites are classified as ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ and ‘Non-Keralite Category-II’. ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ candidates are those who have undergone the qualifying course in Kerala, and who are the sons/daughters of Employees of the Government of India and Defense personnel posted to Kerala OR employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala, subject to the condition that, all categories of the employees mentioned, should have served in Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years or should have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years. Such candidates will be eligible for admission to the ‘State Merit’ seats only, for all the courses.
Candidates who do not belong to the ‘Keralite’ or ‘Non-Keralite Category-I’ will be treated as ‘Non-Keralite Category-II’. They are eligible for admission only to the Management Quota seats in Government Controlled Self-financing Engineering Colleges and Government seats in the Private Self-financing Engineering Colleges in the State and in the. Non-Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.
Admission Criterion:
Engineering: Admission to Engineering courses will be based on the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage for the marks in the Engineering Entrance Examination and the grade/mark obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Biology after effecting the standardization procedure prescribed in the Prospectus.
Courses in the Engineering stream include the B.Tech Courses in Engineering Colleges and the B.Tech in Agricultural Engg and Food Engineering under the Kerala Agricultural University and B Tech Dairy Science & Technology under Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University.
Medical: Admission to the Medical, Agriculture and Veterinary courses will be based on the rank in the Medical Entrance Examination to be prepared on the basis of total marks in the Medical Entrance Examination.
Courses in the Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary stream include (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS (iv) BAMS (v) BSMS (vi) BSc. Hons. (Agriculture) (vii) BFSc. (Fisheries) (viii) BSc. Hons. (Forestry) and (ix) BVSc & AH
Architecture: Admission to the Architecture course will be based on the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage for the marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) and the marks in the qualifying Examination. No Entrance Examination will be conducted by the CEE for admission to B.Arch. course. Those desirous of seeking admission to B.Arch course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) and also apply separately to the CEE as in the case of those taking the Engineering/Medical Entrance Examinations.
Application Forms
Only one application need be submitted for admission to one or more of Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary, Engineering and Architecture courses.
Application can be submitted only online at www.cee.kerala.gov.inEven though there is no Entrance Examination for Architecture, conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, those desirous of being considered for B Arch admissions have to apply as per this Notification.
Application Fee: Application Fee is Rs.700/- for General category and Rs.350/-, for SC/ST category. Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates whose annual family income is below Rs.40,000/- are exempted from payment of Application fee on condition that they produce Income Certificate and Caste Certificate from Revenue Authorities .
Those applicant s who choose Dubai as Centre will have to remit an additional fee of Rs.10,000/- by way of a Demand Draft taken in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, from a Nationalized Bank and payable at Thiruvananthapuram along with the application printout.
Application fee can be paid either by remitting the amount in cash at one of the notified Post Offices or by way of Demand Draft taken in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, from a Nationalized/Scheduled Bank and payable at Thiruvananthapuram.
Sale of Security Card: Application can be submitted after procuring the Security Card. Security card needed for online submission of Application along with the Prospectus can be obtained from 19th January 2012 till 14th February, 2012, through selected Post offices in the state on payment of the required fee. The list of outlets will be available at the appropriate link at http://www.cee-kerala.org / and www.cee.kerala.gov.in
The Security Card will consist of a Key Number inside the Security panel on the card and will also have a serial number. The two are unique to each applicant and will be needed for online submission of application.
Online Application: Application can be submitted online at www.cee.kerala.gov.in till 5 pm on 14th February, 2012 at the link ‘KEAM-2012-Online Application’. Online submission of application includes Candidate Registration, Candidate login, filling up of the Application, Final Submission of Application, Payment of Application Fee, taking Printout of the Application and Sending the printout and supporting documents to the Office of the CEE to reach there within the stipulated date. The detailed procedure with respect to each activity is given in the Prospectus (Page 20).
Last Date: The Printout of the Online Application along with all the required documents as per the Prospectus and the Demand Draft (if applicable), should reach ‘The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001’ by 15th February, 2012.
Admit Cards: Facility will be provided to download the Admit Card from www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 24th March 2012. Those who nare unable to download their Admit card and take a printout of the same can get an Identification Certificate from Notified centres between 9 am and 1 pm 22.4.2012. Details are given in Clause 9.6.2 of the Prospectus.
Scheme of the Examination: The Entrance examination for Medical and Engineering streams will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on single response. Against each question, five suggested answers would be given, from which the candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A,B,C,D or E) corresponding to the ‘most appropriate response’ in the OMR Answer Sheet.
Each Paper will have 120 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. In Engineering Entrance Examination, Paper I will have 72 questions from Physics and 48 from Chemistry. Paper II will have 120 questions from Mathematics. In Medical Entrance Examination, Paper I will have 72 questions from Chemistry and 48 from Physics. Paper II will have 120 questions from Biology.
Syllabus: The detailed syllabus for the Entrance Examination is available in the Prospectus.
Scoring: For each correct response the candidates will be awarded 4 marks, and for each incorrect response, one mark will be deducted from the total score.
Minimum mark: A candidate has to score a minimum of 10 marks in each of Paper I and Paper II to be eligible to be considered for ranking. For SC/ST applicants, there is no minimum mark stipulated to qualify in the Entrance Examinations except for the courses specified.
Minimum mark for MBBS/BDS Admissions: For admission to MBBS/BDS courses, only those who score a minimum of 50% marks in the entrance examination will be considered for ranking. SC/ST candidates and SEBC candidates satisfying the income criterion specified need only 40% marks in the entrance examination to be considered for MBBS/BDS admissions. Candidates with Locomotory disability of lower limbs between 40% and 70%, should score 45% marks in the Medical Entrance Examination to be considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
Minimum marks for Architecture admission: For NATA minimum mark needed to qualify is 40% (80 out of 200).

ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR ADMISSION TO POST GRADUATE
COURSES IN DENTAL SURGERY (MDS), KERALA – 2012
1. Applications are invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to MDS courses for the
year 2012 in the Government Dental Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and
Kozhikode and self financing colleges which have agreed for seat sharing with Government.
2. Eligibility for Admission:
(i) Nativity: Applicant should have satisfied any of the following conditions.
(a) Indian citizen of Kerala Origin.
(b) Have passed the BDS Degree from any of the Dental Colleges in Kerala.
(ii) Academic Qualifications: BDS Degree from any of the Universities in Kerala or of any
other University recognized by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto with
eligibility for full registration in respect of all courses. Applicants who will complete one
year Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship on or before 15.04.2012 are eligible to apply
for the Entrance Examination, subject to the condition that the admission will be given only
after obtaining registration of Kerala Dental Council.
(iii) Age: Upper age limit for General Merit Candidates shall be 45 years and that for service
candidates is 47 years as on 30.04.2012.
3. Entrance Examination: All Candidates seeking admission to MDS Courses will have to qualify
by securing a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks for SC / ST/ SEBC candidates) in the
Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations
(CEE). The Entrance Examination will be conducted on 19-02-2012 (Sunday) at
Thiruvananthapuram. The Entrance Examination will consist of one paper of three hours
duration and having 200 objective type (multiple choice) questions.
4. Application Form & Application Fees: All candidates seeking admission to the course shall
apply online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 10-01-2012 (Tuesday)
onwards. Prospectus also can be downloaded from this website. Separate applications have
to be submitted by General Quota and Service Quota candidates. The application forms and
Prospectus will not be available from the colleges or from the Office of the Commissioner
for Entrance Examinations. Candidate should take a printout of the online application
submitted, put the signature wherever necessary and should affix a photograph self
attested by the candidate.
The application fee is Rs.1000/- for General Quota only and Rs.1000/- for Service
Quota only. Candidate applying for both General and Service Quota will have to remit
Rs.2000/-. The application fee for SC / ST candidates is Rs.500/- and if applying for service
quota too, Rs. 1500/-. The application fee can be remitted in any branch of State Bank of
Travancore using the Bank Chalan available with the printout of the application submitted
online. Candidates outside Kerala can remit the required fee by way of Demand Draft drawn
from any nationalized bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,
Thiruvananthapuram, payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The application fee once remitted
will not be refunded on any account.
5. Last Date and Time for Submission of Applications: All candidates including service
candidates who seek admission under General / Service Quota should forward the print out
of the application submitted online along with all the required documents mentioned in
clause X (C) of the Prospectus and Bank Chalan [or DD] to the Commissioner for Entrance
Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001,
either by Registered post / Speed post / Hand delivery so as to reach him before 5 pm on
21-01-2012 (Saturday).
However, the service candidates seeking admission under Service Quota should forward a
copy of the application along with all required documents mentioned in clause X (C) of the
Prospectus to the Controlling Officer concerned (DME / DHS / DIMS ) so as to reach them
before 5 pm on 21-01-2012 (Saturday).
6. Late applications including those brought after 5 pm on 21-01-2012 will not be accepted.
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and
no correspondence will be undertaken in this regard.
7. Issue of Admit Cards: The Admit Cards for all the candidates appearing for the Entrance
Examination will be available online in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in from
12.02.2012 onwards. The candidates may take the printout of the Admit Card which can be
used for identification of the candidate in the examination hall.
8. The candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of
the application form itself, wherever specified. The certificates that are attached
separately along with the application form will not be considered. Candidates will neither
be allowed to include any information in the application form nor to submit any certificates
/ documents claiming reservation or any other benefits, after the submission of the
application, under any circumstances.
9. The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will conduct the Entrance Examination,
prepare and publish the rank list of candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and
forward the list to the Director of Medical Education (DME). The CEE will also prepare a
separate list of Service candidates who qualify in the Entrance Examination and forward the
same to the DME.
10. The Selection, admission and allotment of seats including those under Service Quota will be
made by the DME, based on various provisions laid down in the Prospectus for admission to
M.D.S – 2012 approved by the Government of Kerala. Candidates may go through the

Common Eligibility Test CET for Ph.D Admissions 2012
Applications have been invited by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad, UP for State level “Common Eligibility Test” to be conducted on 29-4-2012 for admission to various “Doctoral Programs” in State Universities of UP during the Year 2012-13.
Eligibility:
1. Masters degree in relevant subject (See List of Subjects in Table-1) with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent Letter Grade/Grade Point under the Seven Point Letter Grade Scale laid down by the UGC. A 5% relaxation in minimum marks at PG level shall be given to SC/ST and physically handicapped/disabled candidates OR
The minimum educational qualification prescribed by the individual State University in their Statutes/Ordinances etc for admission to Doctoral program.
2. The candidates appearing in Final year/Final semester examination are also eligible to apply. However they will have to produce their Final year/Final Semester examination result at the time of admission.
